We joined the Baileys & Hudsons last week at Cape Hatteras for our annual beach trip. It was great to catch-up with everyone, especially since we don't get to see each other often enough (we sure missed the Morrills, though). The kids ate lots 'o sand, entertained us with their dancing, and slowly but surely learned to share -- from their toys to their baths. The week was also highlighted by celebrating two big birthdays (Adam's 1st and Krista's 30th), and visits in Raleigh with old friends.

Ella graduated to the Toddlers room at daycare, which means a transition for us all, as we were very attached to the teachers in the Infants room. We will surely miss Room #12, but Ella is very excited that her new room has it's own climber!

It's hard to fill Pop's shoes...but she sure did try!

We find it hard to believe that Ella is, by definition, a "toddler"! She definitely "toddles" around, and will soon be moving-up to the "toddlers" class at daycare. We've also noticed recently that her arms are beginning to look like "toddler arms" -- you can't really describe them, but they're those cute, pudgy little arms that all toddlers have. And, boy are they ever cute.
