We celebrated "Round 1" of Christmas in VA with all the Huber family. Our favorite moments were:
- Ella's communion on Christmas Eve -- she mistook the event for a full meal. Not only did she ask for more bread, but she also refused to leave her cup of juice at the altar. Needless to say, it went with us back to the pew. Only Ella!
- Mark opening just what he asked Santa for -- "economically acceptable quantities of 5w-30 engine oil"- thanks, Erin.
- When seeing what Santa had left her, in the midst of a new doll house, books, and stuffed stocking, what did Ella go for? The Band-Aids, of course.
- Visiting with Ella's second-cousins, Leah, and Hadley. We hope that they will get together often as they continue to grow.
We are looking forward to Christmas rounds "2" and "3" with visits from family later this week.
