We have enjoyed these first few weeks with Preston -- what a joy to be out of the hospital and home with this little guy!

It has been quite a calamity of events, too, starting with Mark's trip to the emergency room the night before Preston was born. While cooking with some glass dishes, he sliced his wrist and forearm as well as chopped off the tip of his pinky.

And we certainly didn't anticipate all the complications following such a quick and easy delivery. Needless to say, we were on emotional roller coaster during Preston's first week of life, and grateful that everyone is healthy.

We are slowly getting better, but the longer-than-expected recovery period has been extremely frustrating for us all. It is all been well worth it, though, and we are soaking up every minute now as a family of four.
